Los equipos de perforación en superficie de Atlas Copco están cambiando su estructura de nombre en la familia ROC. Los nuevos nombres harán más fácil la distinción entre la variedad de taladros y harán más claro las características de los productos, para hacer más fácil
la comprensión de las ventajas que ofrece cada categoría y definir mejor el segmento de aplicación para lo cual están fabricados. La implementación de estos nombres ha comenzado y para el final del 2012, todos los productos tendrán la nueva estructura de nombres.
“La nueva estructura de nombres se constituye de una manera lógica, con el propósito de simplificar la comprensión del rango”, dice Hellen Ekefalk, Gerente de comunicaciones y de marca de los equipos de perforación en superficie
El rango de productos ha sido dividido en cuatro categorías diferentes, cuatro series de taladros ROC, con los siguientes nombres: AirROC, PowerROC, FlexiROC y SmartROC. Los métodos Tophammer, down-the-rock y COPROD son usados a lo largo del rango y esto se evidencia desde las designaciones individuales de los productos tales como FlexiROC T30, donde la T designa el método Tophammer y 30 refiriéndose a 3 pulgadas.
La serie AirROC está compuesta de taladros operados de manera manual y neumática, fácil de operar con la simplicidad en el diseño y una estructura robusta de acero. La serie PowerROC está compuesta de taladros hidráulicos con un diseño sencillo e hidráulica libre de problemas. La serie FlexiROC está integrada por taladros de alta tecnología con un nivel medio de sofisticación, mientras finalmente, la serie SmartROC son de alta tecnología con un alto nivel de sofisticación, equipado con los últimos equipos opcionales para minimizar el costo para las operaciones específicas de perforación y demolición. Esta denominación no solamente ayuda a comprender mejor la diferencia entre las cuatro categorías, sino que también posibilita que la variedad de productos sea más clara: Hay un taladro Atlas Copco para cada aplicación.

New names make it easier to distinguish between different drill rigs
Atlas Copco Surface Drilling Equipment is changing the naming structure of the drill rigs in the ROC-family. The new names will make it easier to distinguish between the various drill rigs, as well as clarify the different characteristics of the products make it easier to understand the advantages that each category offer, and better define the segment and application for which they are intended. Implementation has started and by the end of 2012 all products will follow the new naming structure.
“The new naming structure is built up in a logical way, in purpose to simplify the understanding of the range”, says Hellen Ekefalk, Communications and Brand Manager, Surface Drilling Equipment.
The product range has been divided into four different categories, four series of ROC drill rigs with the following names: AirROC, PowerROC, FlexiROC and SmartROC. Tophammer, down-the-hole and COPROD drilling methods are used right across the range and this is evident from the individual product designations such as FlexiROC T30 R, where T stands for tophammer and 30 for 3 inches.
The AirROC series are pneumatic and manually operated drill rigs, easy to operate with simplicity in design and a robust steel structure. The PowerROC series are hydraulic drill rigs with straightforward design and trouble-free hydraulics. The FlexiROC series are high technology rigs with medium sophisticated level, while finally, the SmartROC series are high technology rigs with high sophistication level, equipped with the latest optional equipment to minimize cost per specific drilling and blasting operation. This differentiation not only helps understanding the difference between the four categories, it also makes the extent of the overall product range much clearer: There is an Atlas Copco rig for every application.
